Specs for Video Content Creators

Hi,

I'm interested in making video content for the Oculus. Can anyone list the specs that will give the best video playback on the Oculus? Res? Any details are appreciated. Has the resolution of the upcoming consumer model been announced?

    I would also be VERY interested in this subject!

    My wife and I cruise a small sail boat and have produced 5 videos centered around cruising small sail boats long distances. I have just ordered, and expect to get, a VSN V.360 video camera shortly. I am VERY interested in porting a sailing video into the Oculus system to give spectators a real feeling of sailing along with us. Providing a way for the spectator to "look around" as the boat sails would be GREAT!

    We are planning on heading out on our next cruising around the end of February 2015 and would like to do 360 and 3D filming then.

    At this time, I do not have a Oculus system to try out.

    ANY info and/or advice would be greatly appreciated!!
