Standalone Rift Inject for all games possible?
Hey, haven't had the time to fully delve into the SDK yet, but wouldn't it be possible to create a standalone program to play any game with the Rift? Something along the lines of a small app tha...

There actually is a free alternative, Vireio. No DK2 support yet though.

Yeah, something like the "DirectToRift.exe" that comes with some demos. Basically a version of that that would enable Rift for non-Rift games without too much manual configuration for eventual CR users.

Hell no. There are more important issues and besides I wouldn't want it even if there were manpower to do it. If that kind of mechanism is natively supported many devs would choose the lazy way and not building the software with VR in mind and brand it as "Rift enabled".
I see your point and how it would make some devs lazy. It may still be too early on in the OVR development to debate on something like this.
