Status on 0.6.0.0 Runtime for OS X and related files?
I notice that Runtime, SDK and Unity Integration files have all been refreshed for ver. 0.6 (from 0.5.0.1). Thanks. The Oculus documentation references equivalent files for OS X, but no such files exist on the download page https://developer.oculus.com/downloads/. Any expectation on when this will be available on OS X?

- TojiroProtegeOculus has stopped development for OSX and Linux. https://www.oculus.com/blog/powering-the-rift/
- pmarreckHonored GuestWell... That is shitty. I ordered before they announced that, and here's me setting up my brand new Oculus VR and wondering where the hell the OS X dev files are...
Even the DK2 landing page still says OS X is targeted: https://www.oculus.com/en-us/dk2/ - MrKaktusExplorerYou should be angry at Apple for their lack of support.
Good VR requires changes in both drivers, and windows management/compositing system.
As you can see AMD and Nvidia are on board as well as Microsoft.
Where is Apple integration ? - cyberealityGrand ChampionI'm sorry that Mac support was "paused" and for the fact that it still says it works on the product page (I'm trying to get that fixed now). You may still be able to use the older 0.5.0.1 SDK/runtime but it may not work for a long time.
- pmarreckHonored GuestAfter reading the new minimum requirements, and with the understanding that I probably have one of the few Macs in existence (Mac Pro) that can handle it... it makes sense. Damn it.
I don't think Apple's support is the problem. I think it's that most Macs these days (except one of mine, which is a newish Mac Pro) are laptops, using mobile graphics hardware, which is insufficient. - pmarreckHonored Guest@mrkaktus I don't want to get into a discussion on this but OS X actually has an excellent and long-standing graphics compositor https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quartz_(graphics_layer)
Meantime I can just dual-boot to Windows for now, which is annoying (mainly because Windows is annoying) - AndyCapHonored GuestHi Guys,
I just ordered a rift which is arriving today, the last time I checked it supported OS X. Now It looks like this has been dropped!
Where can I access the last working SDK for OS X?
Many thanks
Andy
Edit: Don't worry I have found it. Is OS X support going to re-apear at some point? - OhyeahitsjoshHonored Guest

Can you link me to it? I can't seem to find it.
Edit: Nevermind, I found it too. - cyberealityGrand ChampionMac support may return at some point. However, I don't know when that will happen.
- creepytennisHonored GuestThe thing that gets me is that we didn't even get the courtesy of an email telling us Linux and OSX support had been dropped. I only found out today because a friend told me! I just stopped getting emails notifying me of the new SDK versions. I assumed Oculus had moved on from the DK2. Now I find out they're still developing for it, but not in a way I can use.
I simply cannot believe they failed to update their product pages. That's beyond unprofessional.
I'm returning my DK2. It was mis-sold. It's such a shame what's become of the Rift.
