Beautiful gallery! Love what you've done with the place. First time seeing stereo textures used as backdrops when looking out the windows. Really nice touch.

That mammoth skeleton isn't to scale, is it? Cause that's just amazingly large. :o

Was especially surprised when I got to the end of the hallway to find that the outside scenery was a stereo texture. :)

I thought the walk speed was probably on the high side, although it was OK for me personally to handle it.

    Thanks for sharing!
  • Please, do you have an alternative link for the download ? I tried with different browsers, but each download is always interrompted before the end.
  • Looked really good. Problem I had was the sideways/straffing movement kept making me nauseous. There's no simple solution to that, but perhaps a layout where the images at at 45 degree angle to the walkway will allow a simple forward movement and encourage people to turn to view. It's VR so no need to follow strict real world architecture.

By the way, I loved the effect of a the 3D images behind the window panel and the outdoor snow scene.

If you have a chance, can you create a simpler museum for Janus VR on your site? Optimized code, smaller objects and smaller image sizes will be important though if you choose to do this. The benefit would be you can rotate through many more art selections everytime somebody visited your site with Janus.

Same problem here, no download results in a valid zip file

@Drash - Thank you so much for the great compliments! They are very encouraging. :) You are also correct, I need to work on scaling and speed.

@nukemarine - Good points. I will slow the movement which may help some. I had a similar idea of placing walls at angles, and may produce something like that soon. I will also take a closer look at Janus VR, which looks very interesting!

This gallery has the ability to rotate pictures from the web, but it's currently disabled. I plan to make a series of galleries to help promote 3D artists. This is VERY exciting technology, it's a blessing to learn & experience it.

Thanks for your time & interest.

--- UPDATE --- Thanks to your suggestions, I have updated the demo with a more comfortable speed. I believe this is a nice improvement. Thank You.
  • Great demo!
Big photo with snow flakes is amazing!

It's cool you could choose a distance to view photo. If you come close to it you are actually inside it.
Very funny to check horizontal plane change it's angle if you came close to photo.

Great idea with down steps near bones photo. You are lowering a little and looking at the photo from below. This make effect of bigger dino head.

Speed is ok. Strafe is ok also. But you need to turn direction with keyboard (q,e) for every wall and that cause nausea. Actually it is ok if you close eyes while turning :)
