    Nice!!!
I'm definitely going to give it a try. Please include some option to have a it as clip on to shoe laces.
  • The strap can be removed and a shoe lace clip can be attached to the bottom and even locked with a small screw. It is hard to show by taking a pic, so here is the original illustration.

How can I get a set of these to test? At present I use game track to register walking /runing input. But strings and base make it look a bit "steam punk" .
Please see my thread with odt im workng on and let me know if stompz can be used with runing strafing or back walkng in my situation.

  • Hey JohnyX,

I'm trying to find a video of what you are working on, but I can't seem to find it in the thread. Would you repost it here?

I'm getting ready to post updated presentation of ODT with integration of Oculus and other hardware.
Removed my 1st video to see if any one actually keeping an eye on what I'm doing....
Here it is one I removed....

locomotion with "improved" odt is slightly different ( bowl shape bottom platform, more comfortable harness) but in general same pattern for acceleration and inertia of the feet.

Thanks! Small update image as a gift for your interest on my thread.
Plus bump for Stompz ;) .
  • Yup, like SwordArtOnline said himself, it's not perfect but definitely beats "walking" with your hands / thumbsticks.

I would expect the price point to be very affordable 8-)
  • i think it's a great idea, looks like it works a treat but i think that wearable devices are cumbersome.
  • JohnyX- I like the update! I had a very similar idea for the first iteration of my device.

Here is a quick image of the "evolution" of Stompz from 2009 to today (oldest one on the bottom might look familiar).
    Enjoy!
