Submission time?

Hey all,

I'm just wondering what to expect for the time it takes between submitting your game and getting feedback.  It's approaching 8 weeks for me (submitted on 4/11), and I'm wondering if that's typical.

I was in "Submitted" status for 5 weeks, and I've been "In Review" for just about 3 weeks.  Is this normal?  I'm sure Oculus has a lot of submissions to go through, but I'm also eager to get my game out into the world.  Wondering how much longer I should expect to wait.  Thanks!

    Hi,

We are under "submitted" since 1 weeks, I hope it will be faster than 8 weeks ... I have one question regarding the updates during submission: does it slow down the review process ? is the review based on the latest build at the time of the review ?

    Gui.

I submitted my game more than one month ago and it is currently under review. I submitted to many mobile stores and also consoles before - this is by far the worst I ever experienced. No feedback, not even status emails. There are only so few games in the Oculus rift store and still they don't care about their developers and getting more content out... Me as a developer and me as a consumer am very disappointed...

After about 6 weeks after submission I finally got a reply:
"Does not launch on our rec
    spec machines."
So, it took Oculus 6 weeks just to find out that it doesn't run on their computer? Also, there is no further information that would give me any hint why - no crash dump, hardware description or software versions...

Tried posting before, but seems like it didn't go through. So sorry if this is a repost.

The same thing happened with our submission and took about 8 weeks to get a "rejected with no feedback" response.

We eventually back channeled to talk to someone and get some feedback, but it's definitely not a developer friendly solution.
  • Hi all,

    I am also
trying to submit to the store. My submission got stuck in limbo for about 3
months (February-April) because I had applied for early access to the consumer
software and it came out while I was waiting for my submission to be
considered. Needless to say I got the rejection notice. Now I'm updated but a
little overwhelmed with what has to be done to  make sure not to lose VR
Focus and launch from Oculus Home menu, etc (the requirements listed in the current submission
guidelines). I don't know how to code for this or test this on my end. I was
wondering if there is further documentation I am missing explaining just how
Oculus wants things or if anyone has seen a tutorial for prepping your Rift app
to sell on Oculus Store. I really want to have all my ducks in a row before
submitting again. If anyone knows anything I would really appreciate the
    information!
