Suggestion

Hi just think I should put this idea out there cause I haven't seen any one suggest it and think it mite be something worth considering as it would increase resolution, give a wider field of view and would probability be easier on the eyes.
How about active 3d glasses on and two screens, and instead of writing an essay to explain what I mean watch this video of Jesse Blanchard who made a home made 3d tv: . (I hope you get what I mean.)or if small active 3d screens are available One of those could be used.
You would also have to change the lens some what so that your eye could see the full width of the screen, probability something like the cmoar 2D mono lens.

• I don't think you realize that oculus is already doing this. The whole point to 3d tv's is to have a separate image for each eye ..which oculus does.
• Yes I get that, it does it by splitting the screen in half. My suggestion would negate the need to have a divide in the middle giving more peripheral vision
• You don't notice the divide when wearing the rift for a couple reasons.
1. The display is very close to your face
2. The lenses distort the display to make up for that area that is divided off
3. Your brain combines the two visuals into one large view
• I guess it could work, but the Oculus would have to be much deeper and you would thus lose the peripheral vision.
