Surface Pro Development with Integrated GPU

So Oculus seems to have put a gate on the 1.3/1.4 drivers so that you can't even run them badly on a Surface Pro.  Is there a way to circumvent this?  I just need to show clients general status updates quickly and the Surface Pro until the new blocking update worked just fine for basic stuff.   Is there a registry hack so that developers can keep working?

Intel would need to make a Rift compatible video driver, because it no longer works like a desktop monitor.  They also do not support DX11 features that Oculus needs.  Then there is async timewarp, which would not be optional given the low framerate you would get on those.  Oculus has no reason to take the initiative here when their hardware just isn't capable of an acceptable experience.
