THE KOR-FX IS LIKE THE GREATEST NEWEST PC INVENTION TO DATE!
I COPY AND POST MY POST IN KOR-FX FORUM HERE
I love this vest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! listening to music with it is amazing
after forgetting it's on having a flying valkrie be right over near when we were defending sky mesa was cool
It's like having a strong amped up Sub directly in front w/o the massive power requirement
it would be so cool if it would become full body
I'm sure ordering a couple sets and doing some hacking and mounting it would happen
this is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thx
everything I do on the PC has become better sound wise
IT'S SO GOOD
the vibrations are just right and not RANDOM at all
IT WOULD SELL OUT FOR MONTHS IF PPL KNEW ABOUT THIS LOL
I was at clubs directly in front of SUBS and its like the SAME EFFECT w/o going DEAF
this IS EVEN BETTER Than using an EXPENSIVE racing wheel in racing games
U don't even need a monitor just THIS, a good sound card w/ the right settings, and Bose QC20/QC20i's
http://www.bose.com/controller?url=/...p&Variant=qc20
I'm a Creative ZxR for anyone who cares http://www.soundblaster.com/products...aster-zxr.aspx
I didn't even try all my games yet!!
was listening to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukKfgE6gi8c and flabbergasted
ALL THX TO SOMEONE WHO POSTED THE KICKSTARTER KOR-FX HERE
I was part of the $135 crowd at 499 of 500
it was full when I had the money ready but someone backed out so I took it
then at last day I looked again and it was 499 again..
but the good thing is, it's available to buy now!
the sound effects ARE STEREOO, the music bass actually goes around the vest like it's designed to for left and right
this is awesome

- cyberealityGrand ChampionYeah, the Kor-Fx is great. People don't seem to believe that it works. The response is very mixed. I tried it and I loved it. A co-worker also tried at the same event and he thought it was lame.
Mine should be coming tomorrow, I'm really excited to try this on my new computer.
I think people just need to give it a chance. - cyberealityGrand Champion
- sgallouetExpert ProtegeI'm glad you guys received yours. I'm still waiting mine, they still haven't give me an expected date...
- harmaniaHonored GuestSo what it does is some sort of vibration when u get shot? Feels like playstation controller vibration?
edit: If so, omg I'm gonna tell someone to minigun me on my back and get nice massage - cyberealityGrand ChampionYes, it's vibration feedback based on audio. It feels more like a sub-woofer than a vibration motor, but the effect is ultimately similar. Of course, since it is based on audio signal only, it triggers in more situations than a rumble motor would. Though the effect can be more subtle than rumble (at times) so it's not a constant annoyance.
I only tested for about 10 minutes, so I don't know how comfortable it would be for long sessions. It's also very different trying a product for a few minutes at an event, and playing a game in your house for 1 - 2 hours straight. Hopefully I still think it's cool after a real gaming session.
Also, you won't get a back massage from this thing. It only has output on your chest. - AntDX3162Heroic Explorerthe most important thing is the feedback isn't linear settings
the feedback actually feels like a real sub
I have 2 12" pionner subs 400w RMS on kenwood 1000W RMS mono D amp on a box to match
when it's tuned correctly the base is just right
if it's off it doesn't sound correct, too high makes it rumble all the time when it's not suppose to and too low makes it rumble not when you want
when it's tuned right you feel the notes and get the right up and down motion of the low sound curve
that is what this does
it's not like a rumble controller where it's like the same
listening to music is where you feel it's correct - cyberealityGrand ChampionI received a box in the mail today, I think it's the vest. I'll try out when I get home.

that was sexy..
I wonder if girls knew about this they would buy it just for the vibrations lol - cyberealityGrand ChampionI got to try the Kor-fx vest last night. It was actually pretty cool. I tested with Left4Dead, Dirt3, and some Ghost in the Shell (anime). At first it was a bit intensive, when I tried at full blast. After turning it down lower I got to a comfortable point. With the anime it was a little strange because it would vibrate when people would talk, not just for gunshots or whatever. But with games it seemed to work better.
Though they sell it as advanced haptics, it's really not all that different than the rumble motor on an Xbox controller. It is able to provide more nuanced feeling, but it's certainly not as advanced as something like the 3rd Space vest. I think it worked best for me with Dirt3, as there was a subtle vibration while the car was moving, and bug jumps or crashes would really pull you in. Left4Dead also worked decently, and it was cool when lighting struck and you could feel it in your chest. I will test with more games, but so far I am digging it.
I think a lot of people are expecting too much. It's not a full-dive haptic experience. That won't come for a while. What it basically amounts to is a sub-woofer on your chest, with a good algorithm for converting sound waves into vibration. It's not perfect. But it is certainly better than nothing at all. Especially when combined with an Xbox controller which has native vibration support in the game, I thought it worked very well. The controller will give you the developer authored feedback (when you get shot or whatever) and the vest will give you more general ambient vibration.
Not saying it's the best thing ever, and maybe you could call it a gimmick, but it does aid immersion. - AmebousPeterHonored GuestI agree, it's freaking awesome!
This vest has a lot going for it and I plan to use it every time I game.
I'm hosting an Atlanta VR meetup tomorrow, I was going to make the KOR vest it's own station but now I don't want to because random strangers might break it!
I'm going to be wearing it myself all night, showing it off when specifically asked.
