The Meta Quest Link installation is failing.
I'm unable to install the Meta Quest Link app on my PC. After accepting the terms of use, I should be able to select a drive for installation, but I'm only getting an error message saying I don't have enough space. My system has nearly 2 TB of free space, but I can't select either of my drives.
Could someone help me with this?

Hi there,
If you are running into the 'Not enough space' issue it is normally due to the Quest Link app reading insufficient space on your primary drive, even if you have selected an alternate drive to install it on.
It is also important to note that even if the app is being installed to a different drive, the temporary files will still be created on the primary drive (the one that Windows is installed on, usually the C: drive) and not on the designated install drive.Thus, even if the app is being installed to a different drive, it you are receiving the insufficient space error, it could be lack of space or an incompatibility of the default C: drive.
Check that the following aren't interfering with the app first-
- Check that drive doesn't have a dynamic partition. From Pc- Start Menu > Disk Management > Control Panel > System Security > Computer Management > Storage > Disk Management. Under Type, check that the partition type is Basic, and not Dynamic.
- Check that the drive is using NTFS format- can also be found in Disk Management under File System.
- Check that Firewall / Proxy configuration isn't blocking any ports or IP addresses that might interfere with the app.
- Avoid using a VPN when attempting connection to the app.
- Ensure that the Link cables are not plugged in before installation.
- Ensure that over 10Gb install space available on your primary drive, and the designated drive for installation.
Some common quick fixes that might be useful to you;
- Restart the Quest from the Power Menu- Power Button, - Volume Button until Power menu appears.
- Reinstall the Link app- attempt with secondary profile, or another PC if available.
- Ensure that headset, PC OS, and firmware are running on the latest updates.
- Disable firewall, antivirus temporarily
Thanks very much.
