Thumb and index finger touches do not respond in Oculus Integration_V.31.0.

Thumb and index finger touches do not respond in Oculus Integration_V.31.0.

I've confirmed that downgrading to OculusIntegration_V.29.0 works, but does anyone know how to fix this issue?

  • For example, in the "Custom Hands" scene, even if you operate the controller, only the thumb and index finger will remain open.

Are you checking the Unity and OpenXR forums on here? Hand tracking isn't implemented in the Unity OpenXR runtime yet, so you have to switch to the legacy (OVRPlugin) runtime if you're using Oculus Integration v31.

  • Thank you for your response.
The explanation may have been lacking.
I'm not asking about hand tracking, but about the touch sensor on the controller.

The Quest controller can usually recognize that you have touched a joystick or trigger.

Any ideas howw to fix it?
if (OVRInput.Get(OVRInput.RawButton.Y)) now works same as if (OVRInput.GetDown(OVRInput.RawButton.Start))
but it's different buttons (no difference in use RawButton or Button)

        Thank you for your reply.
It's not the buttons that don't work, but the triggers for the index finger and the joysticks for the thumb.
Instead of pressing them, the question is about the reaction that works when you touch them.

  • When importing oculus integration, don't select the "Use openXR" option. Instead, select cancel. That worked for me.

If you already imported oculus integration, you can switch settings from Oculus > Tools > OpenXR and select Switch to Legacy OVRPlugin. This also worked for me.
