No problems whatever helps push the Rift to other users :)

I will be adding more to this video series soon dealing with AI/Enemies and also hopefully release a few templates i've worked on so people can make a 3D platformer or a on rails shooter too :)
  • Great videos I plan to watch them all when I get some more time :D

Ninja it would be GREATLY appreciated if you could release a video on how to do an "on rails" anything in Torque 3D. I have been recently looking into using Torque 3D for my VR demo that I want to work on and release for free on the Oculus Share page but have had a difficult time finding documentation on how to make anything on rails with this engine.

I will have a look at this for you it shouldn't be an issue I know you have a few options.

Mount the player on an AI player that follows the path/track
Make the player AI so it inherits AI functions to follow a path

Also you could fake it with the player mounted to a car and have invisible walls so it keeps the car in place along the tracks then you have an options to allow you to go faster or slower

I will try to find some time to make something and make a video and release my code as well so all you need to do is add your models and scene and your good to go :)
  • looks pretty aws. i'll have to check these out.

I do have a few things currently in Torque 3D and I may take a few vids and display them but I have one i'm working on which i hope to sell for a few dollars for relaxation ;)
  • Thanks for the advice, looking forward to seeing the videos to help me!
As for your "project", I look forward to checking it out when you're ready to release it and will be happy to pay for VR exclusive content from the indie dev crowd
