Unity: Giving your OVRPlayerController a body
Hi guys,
I've put together a couple of Unity scenes and my Rift arrived today (yay!).
One of the scenes I made for my wife to introduce her to VR. To help prolong/avoid being Riftsick, I'd like her to be able to look down and see a body. It doesn't even have to have walk animation, just be a static model for a frame of reference.
Is it as simple as bringing in a (headless) body and parenting it to the OVRPlayerController? Or does the body have to have the WASD scripting attached to it instead?

- JakezillaHonored GuestAs long as you parent the 3d model to the game object that is moving around the scene you should get the effect you desire. you will want to prevent the camera rotation from rotating your model though.
- kalorvoeHonored Guesthmm, that would mean that the player could never look down and see their body.
I found some instructions on adding the OR camera to the car tutorial, so I guess something like would work. I just have to figure out how to made the WASD scripts apply to the body instead of the camera.
