UNITY: NO HDM AND SENSER DETECTED

Hi everybody, hope someone can help me with this:

I'm trying to setup correctly my oculus DK2 in Unity. When I run the game it says NO HDM AND SENSOR DETECTED
Somebody knows how to fix this?

My tech specs:

iMac OSX 10.9.3
Oculus DK2 firmware 0.4.2
Unity 4.5.4f1 (free version)

Could be because de free user version ef the Unity?

  • You need to use Unity pro to get the distortion effects working. There is a work around for Unity free I believe someone posted a few weeks back if you search the forums you should find it.
  • Thank you baloniman,
then I assume that the OculusIntegrationUnity.package is not working in Unity free version. Great...
  • Unfortunately nothing Oculus related with work with Unity unless you have pro or the workaround. That being said I haven't tested the work around just remember reading that someone on the forums created something to allow it to work. If the subscription fee for Unity is too much you could always use Unreal I think they charge 20$/mo. Also another suggestion is to ask in the forums if anyone may still have the 4 month unity pro trial that came with the original Oculus. People have offered these keys in the past it's worth asking as someone may still have one.

    Good luck !
  • Thanks again baloniman! Your info saved me a lot of time.
Let's see how all of this end for me. Since I've received my Rift I've been banging my head agains the wall. I really should invest more time gathering info before buying it
