Use your Razer Hydra in SteamVR
This is a project I created to implement support for Razer Hydra motion controllers in the official OSVR-SteamVR plugin, which originally only supported the OSVR HDK headset. The main goal is to have Vive wands in SteamVR emulated by the Hydra, while using an Oculus headset, so we can play games that require motion tracked controllers, without a Vive of course.
The driver still needs a lot more development. Motion tracking and buttons already work perfectly, but some functionality is missing due to OSVR's implementation of the hydra. This leads to some games not working properly, like being unable to throw the stick to the robot doggie in The Lab, which is our main concern now :)
In case you have a hydra, you should definitely give this a try. Also support for other OSVR controllers is coming, along with PS Move support.
More information, source code, downloads, etc available here: https://github.com/betavr/SteamVR-OSVR/wiki

- blindrezoProtegeYou've got my attention. Will definitely give this a go some time with my Hydra! Also very interested in trying my PS Move controllers when supported. :)
Thanks for this! - plagiarizeExplorerI gave this a go. Great work so far! I presume the inability to throw the stick for the doggie, is also why I couldn't throw knives in Budget Cuts. It's probably a bigger issue in Budget Cuts than in The Lab if you ask me!
- betavrAdventurerYes, probably related to the missing velocity and acceleration data. The hydra's tracking is unfortunately not IMU based, so we are going to have to emulate that in the driver.
- betavrAdventurerVersion 0.22 has been released. Added velocity and acceleration data to emulate the Vive's integrated IMU.
Playing fetch with robo doggie confirmed working. :) - betavrAdventurerSo this project is now suspended since Valve released source code that provides hydra support in SteamVR, without the need for OSVR. For more information, binaries, etc check out the my fork's wiki page: https://github.com/betavr/steamvr_driver_hydra/wiki
- blindrezoProtegeOh, that's interesting. Will you still be working on PS Move support, though?

Nice but i cant get it to work im following your steps but it's not working is there any files missing? also will you make a setup.exe? seems there are others who cant seem to make it work, i dont have visual studio.
cheers in advance.FIXED
Ah it seems to have been a location problem the steamvr folder was on my bigger games folder :D - Jos_68MemberIt doesn't work for me; StemaVR don't detect hydra (not in green); I've installed Steam client (and SteamVR) in D:\ , and I'm on Windows 10 ( on Windows 7 native SteamVR is working and detecting hydra, but it freezes after 5 or 10 minutes) , any ideas? Thanks
- betavrAdventurerTry to manually copy the driver directory (hydra) to the SteamVR drivers folder. Currently the install script can only detect SteamVR if it is installed in the primary Steam library (under the Program Files\Steam\steamapps folder).
- TFS_ALUHonored GuestNot sure what's going on with my system but here is the rundown. I have windows 10. All my steam games and tools are installed on my D drive. SteamVR finds my oculus camera and headset, but won't recognize my hydras regardless of port change. I followed the guide to the Teee and nothing has worked. I even tried to manually copy the hydra_drivers to the steamVR driver folder in my D drive, but nothing happened. Have any suggestions?
