Using PrioVR with STEM?

From looking at the two, it seems that everyone is presenting them as an either/or choice between the two.
Will it be possible to use the two together do you think?

Using the PrioVR for full body tracking and the STEM for haptic feedback and controls, surely that would be the most immersive solution, when used in conjunction with the rift and the omni?

Do you think this is likely to be possible or are they going t maintain themselves as a one or the other choice?

I only ask peoples opinions as I was looking at pre-ordering both, however I can't find any info on using them together.

Apologies if this has been asked already or is in the wrong section, this just seemed like the most appropriate place.

i give up long ago with prioVr because it seems it will be postponed for ever.
neuron is out (almost) and has a lot more sensors so it seems to be a better option.
Omni is also on a long way, but i am more optimistic with them.

the problem is the interface with the omni use the sensors of the omni, so if you got a suit that also has the feet sensors, it will be a bit tricky to configure.
the same for the stem, if you get the neuron suit with full sensors on hands, you probably do not need the stem.

the other problem is to find a program that understand you interface setup. for example many shooting programs do not necessarily offer decoupling on aiming and seing. Or many characters in game are upper half, so walking is just a "mechanic", there is no real leg position to control.
so there is also a long way before you can freely use any kind of VR programs with a mix of haptic sensors.
  • Both the STEM and Priovr have had lengthy delays and it appears by their own admission that PrioVR has run out of money and won't be able to fulfill their kickstarter obligations unless they get more. The STEM is supposed to be shipping at the end of the year.
