Will this Mini Display Port adapter work with the DK2?

I'm also on mid 2010 MBP and I found one mention by another developer here of the following cable:

Accell B086B-007B-2 Mini DP 1.2 to HDMI 1.4 300 MHz Active Adapter

I have one on order now, so I will hopefully find out soon enough if it does the job. I got the impression it being 'active' made a difference...

Thanks for the info. The cable I ordered never arrived. Now I'm trying to decide if I update my mac since then it will be thunderbolt expensive cable time. But I might get something similar to tide me over.
