So I decided to update to windows 10 because of DirectX 12. I install Oculus runtime 0.8.0 and it doesn't work. At times it just sees the Oculus as a second monitor but the tracking cam doesn't work. I install the runtime 0.7.0 and it does the same.I have the GTX 97016gigs rami7 4790 3.6ghzI pass the requirements test.What are you guys doing to fix the problem? The post of fixing the problem was posted on July 2015. Nine month later what have you guys came up with? What can you suggest, install the runtime 0.6.0? I understand you guys trying to make the system work at best with the high end graphics card so there will be no problem running the oculus but it seems that Runtime 0.6.0 was better then the rest of the runtime you guys made. It is like fixing something that is not broken and breaking it. Now Runtime 0.8.0 did work with windows 8 so yes you guys did something good there but I think you guys didn't anticipated that Windows 10 was coming out. How are you guys going to prepare for DirectX 12? Will you guys take advantage of the features it has? You guys have a deadline for the retail version but if the developers can get there Oculus to work with windows 10 people will not have games to play and even worse if it doesn't work with developer kit then it will not work with the retail version. Lets get cracking guys I can't make games if I don't have the equipment working.

Hello.For some reason my alienware laptop has jumped down to 15 frames per second.. and something simular happened on windows 8.. when the 64bit was running..The 32 bit server worked nicely at 60 FPS.. whats the difference between 32 and 64 bit server that I can change on windows 10?I even turned on vsync to force 60fps.. no luck.. it still updated slowly..thanksphil

I can only imagine that a Windows update has killed it since nothing else has changed. Anyone else getting this?Also, do I need to upgrade the firmware, if so, how?

I put the pc drive from the SDK 0.7.0.0 . The demo works but if I step from the Help menu in case you can not find the OVRDISPLAY64.dll and OCUSBVID.sys files. The demo works .

Yes, Help> About shows:

Display Driver Version: C:\WINDOWS\system32\OVRDisplay64.dll not found
Positional Tracker Driver Version: 1.0.14.0

Just trying to find the dll to copy in.

That DLL (OVRDisplay64.dll) is NOT compatible with Windows 10 and could mess up your system if you try to install it. It's the old Direct Mode driver and is not used anymore.

Will the Oculus Rift be fully supported on Windows 7 (as listed in the official recommended PC Specifications)?

I'm building a new system but would prefer to stick with Windows 7, but I'm just worried that there might be some features in Win10 that improve Oculus Rift performance?
