Windows 10 support for Windows holographic and Oculus.
With Microsoft's announcement of there Holo lense headset and its native support in the upcoming Windows 10 release. That oculus currently will not run on the Windows 10 Beta.
http://news.microsoft.com/windows10story/ what you want to see starts at 1:39. Did they just leapfrogged Oculus? Are you now actively developing for it? If so why dose Windows 10 not run the SDK?

With Microsoft's VR project finally out there VR will now be 100% mainstream for sure.
Both technologies with be competing but there will also be a little bit of differentiation.
Microsoft is going the AR/VR approach like MagicLeap; rather than full immersion Google and Microsoft see it more advantageous to simply "take" VR into the real world.
So there will be room for both approaches: Full Immersion and then virtual interaction in the real world. - nuclearExplorerThat windows holographic video is clearly snakeoil.

Perhaps, but there are dozens of articles of people trying it out like this one: http://www.sfgate.com/business/article/Microsoft-HoloLens-a-sensational-vision-of-PC-s-6033830.php
So Microsoft is definitely putting a nice face over an alpha product but the technology is most certainly real. - lmaceleightonHonored GuestAlso if that Win10 Voice recognition is as good as they say, that would really be useful for input.

I always found voice recognition to be a mixed bag; the technology is very close but people just don't use voice recognition as much.
I believe it's because of privacy; people don't like to have other people hear what they are doing on the computer/device.
This is not saying that voice recognition won't be a factor in the success of the HoloLens but the other features will weight in a lot more.
The recognition of hand gestures will be where it's at; people will love the fact that the device is (1) wireless and (2) doesn't require more than the headset + their movements to use.
