Wireless sensors?
Now that Oculus is talking about multi sensor expansion prior to the touch release.. please tell me that they're going to make the cameras wireless like the Vive. I can't imagine having USB wires running to multiple cameras that are located behind you in a room scale environment being very safe or convenient.

- galopinHeroic ExplorerVive are not camera. Oculus is two camera, with cable, live with it.
- CaptainInfamousProtegeGreat answer, way to move the discussion forward. Since you are clearly misinformed, the Vive also uses infrared camera sensors just like oculus. I'm also not concerned with two camera setups - I'm talking about having cables run for 3 or more sensors, which is the functionality that the 1.6 update added. Try to keep up.
- galopinHeroic ExplorerSo first no, vive is not camera, they are module that broadcast lights, and it is the headset and controllers that contains the tracking hardware, that's why you do not have to plug the bases to the computer.
More than 2 rift camera will put a lot of stress to your usb buses. Plus the processing time on cpu and or gpu that will start to sum quite a bit.
Believe me, i keep up more than you can imagine  - galopinHeroic ExplorerIf you want a second source, here for you. http://gizmodo.com/this-is-how-valve-s-amazing-lighthouse-tracking-technol-1705356768
- cyberealityGrand ChampionIt's a good idea maybe down the road. I don't think this will happen anytime soon.
