I have been playing it, the main problem with rifting it IMO is you can't turn your head in the space ship. it is a single player game though so maybe someone could mod that in?

The developers have devkits and have mentioned their intention to eventually support the Rift, but they apparently really want to get it right. Given how rocky the game's launch has been, I'd say it will likely be quite a while before this happens though. The X series also has a very active modding community, so who knows?

First Law looks fantastic in the Rift! It's a first person space fighter game. I'm begging for the Oculus Rift to come to consoles and work with No Man's Sky!!!
