XboxOne or 360 controller to buy for OR dev
Hey!
Title says it all, I have no exp. on the console side, but I would be using it on PC. Are there any downsides of buying the new X1 controller, is it supported by the SDK, UE4? Is it backward compatible with programs? Any info comes handy.
Some say it's X1 is the new standard, others are more reserved and vote for the X360 controller on other forums. That's why I ask here, since I need OR specific experience, any reasoning comes handy tho.
Thanks in advance for your answers!

- cyberealityGrand ChampionI'd recommend the wired Xbox 360 controller for the best plug and play experience, though I will admit I have not tried the Xbone controller on a PC yet so I don't know how good that will work.
- lazaHonored GuestAllright, thanks! I was thinking about getting the wired one for minimum latency on the input side, there is also an X1 wired available now. Would be great to hear the opinions of ppl using it connected to a PC.
What I've found out so far: Regular Xbox One controller+ Micro-USB cable = X1 wired controller - GeraldExpert ProtegeI would go with the wireless 360 - it just adds a lot when you can turn in your chair and still have full control. But for dev you should always have the option to go wired.
- SemicidalHonored GuestFor what it's worth, I use a wireless 360 controller and have never experienced any notable latency.
- lmaceleightonHonored GuestGenerally the latency in wireless devices doesn't seem to be all that constant, but your right, under most conditions the wireless controls, mostly operate with very unnoticeable lag.
