Connecting to headset has failed
I cannot connect my Quest 2 headset to Meta Quest Developer Hub, it just says "Connecting to headset has failed. If the issue persists, try restarting MQDH."
I have tried restarting it several times. I've also ensured my Windows 10 PC has all Microsoft updates and that Bluetooth works. I've restarted my PC. I've installed the latest software updates onto my Quest 2. I've restarted the Quest 2. I've signed out and signed in again to my Quest 2 account. I've uninstalled, re-downloaded, and reinstalled MQDH. I've tried installing an older version of MQDH (3.5, in case there was an issue with 3.6). I have confirmed that I have enabled developer mode on the headset by temporarily disabling the guardian.
But it is always the same: MQDH -> Device Manager -> Set Up New Device -> Meta Quest 2 -> (searching)... confirm serial number -> select device -> next -> (10-20 second pause...) "Connecting to headset has failed. If the issue persists, try restarting MQDH."
What can I do to connect my Quest 2 headset to Meta Quest Developer Hub, please?

Ensure that your Quest 2 headset is securely connected to your PC using a compatible USB cable. Try using different USB ports on your PC to rule out any potential issues with specific ports.

Thank you for your response.
I have tried different USB cables and USB ports, but it still does not work. The initial USB cable that I tried was bought specifically for use with the VR headset, and I selected a high-quality well-reviewed cable that is capable of high speed data transfer. A friend uses an identical cable to connect his laptop to his Quest 2.
I have since noticed when I open a command prompt, navigate to `C:\Program Files\Meta Quest Developer Hub\resources\bin`, and enter `adb devices` no device is shown.

It seems like you've taken several troubleshooting steps already. Since this issue is specific to Meta Quest Developer Hub, it might require some additional debugging. Here are a few suggestions:
Check USB Cable and Port: Ensure that you are using a high-quality USB cable to connect your Quest 2 to your PC. Also, try using different USB ports on your PC.
Restart Everything: Restart both your Quest 2 and your PC. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.
Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure your PC's graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause connection problems.
Check Firewall and Antivirus: Sometimes, security software can block connections. Ensure that your firewall or antivirus software isn't blocking the Meta Quest Developer Hub.
Meta Support: Consider reaching out to Meta Support for more specific assistance. They may have insights or updates related to this issue.
Reinstall Meta Quest Developer Hub: If none of the above steps work, you might want to try uninstalling Meta Quest Developer Hub and then reinstalling it from scratch.
Quest 2 Updates: Continue to check for updates for your Quest 2. Sometimes, new updates include bug fixes that might resolve connectivity issues.
Remember that technology can be complex, and sometimes issues require a combination of troubleshooting steps. If none of these solutions work, contacting Meta Support directly might be your best course of action for a more personalized solution to this problem.

I have tried all of those things, and MQDH still will not connect to my Quest 3 headset.
As far as I can tell, the only options I have left is to get on Amazon and purchase a Star Trek tricorder, or perhaps sacrifice a chicken. Wish me luck.

Has anyone figured out an actual fix for this yet? I'm having this regardless of device, quest 1, 2, pro...
Every time its failing to connect, always 60s timeout.
The headsets are also enumerating via USB just fine as well, and I can even access their internal storage.

This is what worked for me (not sure it will work for everyone):
1. Open MQDH on a laptop or tablet.
2. Connect Quest headset to laptop with a USB cable.
3. Open Meta Horizon on smartphone, and make sure it is set to Developer Mode.
[It still didn't connect so far.]
4. Leaving MQDH open on laptop and Meta Horizon open on phone, reboot headset.
Somehow the reboot enabled the connection.
