Does target platform matter for Unity testing w/ Quest Link? ("Play Button" to quickly test content)
I have a rather large application in development which I just upgraded to the latest Oculus SDK and Unity 2022.3.6 and I'm trying to get Quest Link testing to work, so that when I press the Play button in Unity, it will render to the headset. My current build target is Android, since up to now I've been doing Build and Run testing (which is quite a long wait), and I'm wondering whether or not it's required to switch back to the PC build target for the Play button to work with Quest Link.
What I'm seeing now is something like this: I enable Quest Link and am viewing my desktop monitor from within the Quest 2. I click on the Play button inside Unity. My HMD goes dark for a few seconds as the app begins to run. Then it comes back, I'm still looking at my desktop monitor in a window, Unity is showing me the Game panel, everything is in 2D and not VR. I could switch back to PC and test this, but if it doesn't work, switching back to Android from PC target will take a looong time (about 4+ hours) so I was wondering, before I go wasting my time, if this is intended to work for Android target or not. In the meantime, I'll probably just continue testing with Build and Run. Thanks!
