Firmware update delays

Is there any way as a developer we can force a firmware update as waiting for the roll outs takes way too long (months sometimes).

It is becoming increasingly difficult to get the latest firmware to test new features like ASW.

I find it ridiculous that devs have to wait in line with consumers for firmware and do not have even early access.

If I have missed something and there is a way to update without waiting please let me know.

  • My Oculus Go is stuck on v18 as well

Is there a problem with UK devs?

Does facebook just not like us?

Cannot believe this is how it is still

You can force the update if have firmware file.

https://uploadvr.com/oculus-quest-force-update-firmware/  (you need to download the apk file check reddit or other sites as users tend to upload it there)
    https://www.reddit.com/r/oculusquest/wiki/guides/manualupdate

But typically you can manually check in the "about" settings screen.

This typically based upon server availability and roll out schedule.  So check during off-peak hours in your time zone, like 11pm to 7am.

Thanks for the tips I will give it a go (nothing on reddit yet) but think this should be an officially provided facility for devs.

Any chance an Oculus rep can weigh in on this?
