Is GamePad support going to be removed in the future?

I saw this in the latest API note:
"Gamepad input API has been marked as deprecated and will be removed in a future release."

Is it going to be replaced by something else or is the Quest lose gamepad support?

Really really hope thats not the case!

    To answer my own question, I guess this only has to do with the Native API. If using Unity it will still be supported thru Unitys Android HID gamepad.

    Would be great if someone can confirm this.
