New App "incompatible" "no compatible" in alpha channel

I just upload a new app to the alpha channel on my account. The app works perfect if I just install the APK, but whe I try to run from my account in the alpha channel, I get the message "incompatible" over the Icon, and "no compatible", under the tittle. I am using Unity 2019.1.5f1

Anyone can help me with the reason for this message?

Thank you!

  • We have the exact same issue with our latest app.
Currently we multiple apps with identical settings but the last one keeps saying "incompatible".
Assuming we're not alone and this is the 2nd report I've seen today, I think it's safe to assume it's a problem on oculus' side.
  • are you using Unity 2019 for this new project? Maybe it's 2019 version...
  • Any news on this issue?  We are seeing the same error on our headsets.  Can we get a confirmation from Oculus that this is an Oculus release channel issue, and not with our project version/settings?

No we were using the 2018.4 LTS version.
We heard some feedback from Oculus that the cause might be another app on your device with the same bundle identifier, check if this is the problem in your case.
On my end this is not the problem however.
  • Im also getting this, did anyone find a resolution? I made sure i deleted previous manually installed versions of the app so no bundle identifier issues here
  • For others checking this thread, dont assume that as you associated your app with an existing user that they will get it, you have to do the following as well:

Go to the channel's list of users in the Oculus Dashboard by going to MyAppTitle > Manage Builds and clicking the Add User button in the channel the build was uploaded and adding the email associated with the Oculus account.

And don't forget to accept the invitation in the mail sent. Otherwise, the user will still be in the waiting list and the app will stay "no compatible" (as it happened to me).
