Oculus Link and SteamVR clash in Unity?

Thanks in advance for your time. Is there a way of preventing SteamVR from popping up every time I click Play in the Unity editor while working on an OVR project? Currently as a quick(ish) workaround, I uninstall SteamVR every time I need to use Oculus Link in Unity. 

I currently only have Oculus added in the XR setting, and only Oculus Integration is added, SteamVR is nowhere within the project. Is there something I could do within a specific Unity project so that SteamVR minds its own business? With it acting as a middleman, localavatar controllers don't show up, and obviously hand tracking doesn't work at all. Once I uninstall SteamVR, both of the above work. Thanks.
