oculus verification not working.

I am trying to verify my developer account because it will be required soon and since I don't have a verified business I wanted to do admin verification. when I tried to verify though I accedently closed the page and now it is under review but I think I broke it because there's nothing to review and I don't know if it will be reviewed and I won't be able to verify it.

  • I have the exact same issue.  I tried to open a ticket and they sent me to another place which sent me to Oculus Business which sent me no-where.  No-one claims ownership over the verification part.  I've tried on different computers, so it can't be something cached.

      Dude, i could kiss you!
My first verification screwed up and didnt even allow me to take a photo and just sent itself off and i was panicing like heck.
This time was able to take a photo and send it off.
Buuuuuuuuuuut denied first time, finding out second attempt now.

  • thank you so much! I was really worried I wouldn't be able to verify my account and I wouldn't be able to verify it

  • They denied me the 1st time also, gonna try again and add a black background around the id.

I see. Wish you luck with that. They rejected my requests multiple times, and I have no idea why. Seems like their entire flow is broken. I even wrote about this issue to support and their ChatGPT bot (with a human name, which I think is unethical) told me to reinstall Meta Apps and clear cache folders on my Window machine, which is completely irrelevant nonsense. Now I'm trying to reach out to a human in their support team. AI Kafkaesque.

There seems to be some progress at the moment dude.
I've tried to give myself a gap between my last submission, where the "submit" button broke on me with the camera etc etc.
But it appears Meta have changed it to a "Upload your photo" or "Take a photo" which is good, Cuz it means people like me have been taken out of the "submit" loop.
Tried uploading my picture but "technical" problem, tried again but limited tries for certain amount of time try again later.
But with the change it being "select a photo" instead of "TAKE PHOTO WITH CAM NOW" may indicate that Meta is listening. Thought also occurs of if an AI is still doing the judging, uploading your own photos with clearer resolution may cause it to be verified compared to our earlier attempts with a compressed webcam photo of the ID's.
We still have a month to get this verified. We may just get there!

  • Still at a point of "denial" with this situation.
I think ive broken the "submit" button on the photo verification part. Ill submit a photo of my ID and the button will just reload and nothing gets sent off...
Really hope someone from Meta picks up on this soon cuz yeah.........

  • Tried at least 4 times now with ID and Passport.  I will say the camera scan thing is pretty sus, such a low resolution on a iPhone 14.

  • i've been too harsh i think there's a couple of feedback errors/bugs. My verification seemed like it failed too but when i checked my dashboard it had changed to verified.

      Congratulations!

Thank God and the verification team, I got verified too. Btw, my final request I sent from Safari browser (previous attempts were from Chrome 112).

I'm glad finally someone got verified!

I'm still stuck in a feedback loop thanks to "too many submissions" even though I've done ONE in the past 48 hours.

Meta just reset this variable or something! Please!

I submitted it at the โ€œContact usโ€ part of the support page

  • I finally got "Developer" Verified.  I said screw it and sent a photo of my Drivers ID Sitting on top of my 4090 in my computer case.  Took 3 days.
