OTG Webcam USB-C Support for FPV RC Remote Control Car or Drone - Oculus Quest
Hello Everyone,
I did extensive search but the information is super noisey so I straight up ask: Is it possible to connect a webcam to the oculus quest via an OTG cable like with any other android phone?
Webcam OTG Support to access inside Unity?
I would like to know if the oculus quest inherited webcam otg behavior from android? Has anybody tried to get this (into unity)?
FPV 5GHz Receiver (Emulates a Android Webcam)
Anybody who has seen drone videos may know that FPV (first person view) is a thing. The video of a camera is transmitted via a 5GHz transmitter and can be received with a FPV receiver. What many don't know: There are FPV receivers out there that present themselves as a webcam to android and iOS. It is rather straightforward to access this camera feed. I'd like to stick this on to the oculus quest. (Gif is not me; its from this youtube video id yES-lKj66aE — can not post links yet)

What I plan to do
I want to control a small RC Card with the Oculus Quest while seeing the Video Feed if the Video Receiver (Webcam) inside a 3d environment with Unity. I hacked some stuff phone based; which worked great. Controlling the RC car via a web connected audorino and seeing the video could be a fun exercise from within the quest. The oculus quest is cheaper than normal FPV headsets while having magnitures better quality. Anyway, here a video I did some time ago
I do not plan to project the video directly onto the eye, but rather have it floating in space since the resolution of FPV isn't great. But this is super small tech.

- XRaiExplorerHi, Im looking into the exact same thing now with our COVID lockdown restrictions, have some extra time on hands.
Have you managed to find anything on how to connect a webcam with USB OTG?
I have managed to build a unity app where I control a small Tello drone with hand tracking, but the problem is im only seeing the drone feed, and need to be able to see a camera looking at the drone as well. Managed to get a web stream IP camera going, problem is I need wifi to see this feed on the quest, and the tello drone also requires it to be connected to its wifi. Thus a no-go. The only other option I can think of is thus having a usb webcam feed show through USB?
