Quest 2 no longer shows up as a device in Windows File Explorer

After upgrading Meta Quest Developer Hub app to version 3.4.0 when I connect my Quest 2 to my PC with USB cable Quest 2 no longer shows up as a device in Windows File Explorer (Windows 11) even though that worked correctly prior to the MQDH upgrade. MQDH itself continues to connect to the plugged in Quest 2 correctly.

How do I fix this? Is this a known issue?

  • I am having the exact same problem!! It says on the oculus app that my headset is connected without any problems, the headset itself asks for permission to connect… but nowhere in file explorer does the quest 2 show up. It’s starting to really irritate me. I’ve literally tried everything except for doing a master reset on both devices. Someone please help ASAP!!

  • It is same for me.I was able to acress it under my windows user folders. Very odd that they moved it there and hide it as an actual device listed in explorer. Silly actually for thrm to do this without notifying anyone.

  • Found a temporary solution until dev fix this new bug :

You plug your headset to the computer and then you turn if off and back on again while keeping it plugged (usb c). When it turn on, it will ask you to autorise access to the files like it usually does and this time the Quest will appear as it use to via the file explorer of the computer.
