I found that it may related to this https://developer.oculus.com/blog/verify-your-developer-account-by-october-21/
but I still cannot access developer mode after verify my accounts following the guide.

even my account also verified with the mobile number, still no luck!!!! how do I get back the developer mode enabled............! its frustrating !!!

I'm certain it's not this - as we had verified the account

They haven't even Windows 11 support done yet. Seems like we can go on vacation for a while now.

Same issue here. Even for my test users it's gone. Had to stop working and send developers home early today at work.
Thanks Mark

Hey there - I agree - I've been adding test users this week, and all of a sudden the developer mode setting has disappeared from the Oculus app
The 'Developer' option still appear in the main settings menu when wearing the headset
However whilst this allows you to disable the Guardian view the files on the PC - it doesn't show the 'unknown sources' panel.
I gather that the Oculus app is the only thing that enables 'Unknown Sources'
SideQuest and Unknown Sources still work on the users / headsets that were already configured with the app within the last few weeks - but any setups we're trying today with the developer account don't see SideQuest and Unknown sources is hidden.
It's a real show-stopper for us right near the end of a testing product launch.
I had verified my developer account so it's not to do with that.
Please Oculus - give us our button back!
So I've spent the afternoon panicking about this too 🙂
Here's what worked for me. (NB. this assumes that you have your own account authenticated as a developer and that your organisation does indeed have those Test Users set-up as Developers)
1. Logged out of my own account on the Oculus phone app. This redirects you to logging back in using facebook, but has no option to log in as a different user. So...
2. Opened m.facebook.com on Chrome, on my phone (I don't have the official app installed) and clicked on the hamburger icon to the top right of the interface. This opens a long list. Scroll all the way to the bottom and clik Logout (they've not made it easy to find!)
3. Now you can log in on m.facebook as a Different user . Use your test User's credentials.
4. Finally go back to the Oculus app and log-in with Facebook. That then uses the Test User account.
5. As normal, connect to the HMD, go to Developer, and flick that switch back to enabled.
I think that the change to authenticated accounts that happened on the 21st Oct reset a lot of those switches but annoyingly it seems you can only turn it back on in the phone app.

yes we need the developer mode back on the oculus companion app. please enable that back, can't test anything today.............! disappointing.......!
- Envoy_of_LightExplorer
This is the most useful thing. If they removed the developer mode on the companion app they are trying to control our movements. we should file complaints because there are too many "RESTRICTIONS".

Same here, dev mode gone and uknown sources not showing up. The enable dev mode button in the phone app is no where to te found.

omg I have been googleing my fingers off until I finally found this post, thank you all for having the same problem, I was starting to feel really stupid. I just got the OQ2 last week and have been trying to set everything up and two days ago I thought I was getting somewhere and today felt like a major set back.
- LewisYoungVRProtege
Just to reassure you it's not you!
I've been setting up official Oculus test accounts in order to sideload our content onto them for our pre-alpha stage... What worked literally days ago just doesn't work today. It's really upsetting

Just found the fix guys, Develper mode can't be enabled on the mobile app anymore. You need the Desktop app to do it https://developer.oculus.com/downloads/package/oculus-developer-hub-win/
Install it then connect the headset top the desktop app, should prompt you to turn on developer mode.
hope this helps

SAME ISSUE ON MY END THEY ARE BECOMING ANNOYING DAY BY DAY!

You have to enable it on the phone app first. It means that it's useless in our case. 😞

I received a reply to my Ticket:
Thanks for reaching out. Let me assist you.
About the Oculus Developer mode that doesn't seem to turn on, there seems to be a bug with it at the moment. I will be escalating your ticket to the appropriate team.
Thanks for letting us know.

well thats a relief. Was really picking my brain about that, even reinstalled my headset. Now the waiting game begins. Thanks for sharing!

This happened to me as well but not on all my devices. I have about 15 headsets.
