The OVR metric hud from the Meta Quest Dev Hub won't turn on

I've successfully connected my Quest to my PC via USB cable, and it shows up in Dev Hub. I ticket the "Metrics HUD" slider so I can see the metrics, but it doesn't work. I look in headset and there's no change. What am I doing wrong here? Is there another step to the process?

      I found the APK and installed it manually. That usually means it HAS to be on, so I've taken to just installing/uninstalling it when needed.

    Installing the apk manually didn't work last time I tried but after a factroy reset, it worked, thank you
