0.4.2 -> 0.4.3.1: (light) flares gone? [fixed]

Hi!

I just upgraded from 0.4.2 to 0.4.3.1.
I know lens flares are not done in VR, but I had very subtle flares set up on my lights (not LensFlares, but regular Flares) that I was quite pleased with :D
However, they disappear when I'm using the OVRPlayerController. Using a regular PlayerController they are still there as they were with the previous OVRPlayerController.

Anything I'm doing wrong or can check?

[edit: Solved it by adding a "Flare Layer" component to both camera's!]

  • Have you tried reimporting your OVRPlayerController when you upgraded from 0.4.2 to 0.4.3.1?

    Yes, I completely removed the old assets, and imported from scratch.

    I just tried running my demo built with 0.4.3.1 on a laptop still running the 0.4.2 runtime.
    It works, and performance has improved, but flares are also gone there.
