0.6.0 No image in-Rift
Yesterday I tried upgrading to 0.6.0. When running the build, my DK2 screen would flash for a split second, then remain dark as the mirror on the desktop remained active and correctly functioned with orientation etc.
The most strange part about this bug is that it renders the HDMI port the DK2 was using useless until the computer is rebooted: Trying to run any pre-0.6.0 build (which otherwise worked) on a botched port will result in the power LED on the rift rapidly flashing between orange and blue. When the DK2 is switched out for a normal monitor, the normal monitor is unable to receive any image from the port either (until reboot). This happens with both straight HDMI, and DVI to HDMI.
Absolutely nothing out of the ordinary, nothing OVR-related at all, in my output log.
Using 352.86 Nvidia driver on GTX 780, Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, Unity 4.6.5f1
My upgrade process consisted of importing the newer unitypackage, and replacing the prefab in my scene. Clearing and rebuilding the Library did not solve the problem.
Is there any other useful info I can provide, or any way I can get more useful diagnostics? Has this been observed before?
