360 Video playback

Hi

Has anyone perhaps got a solution other than purchasing an asset for the 360 video playback in ones own app?
Thx

There is a fully functioning demo with a slight green line as a watermark. If you do not want to spend some money then you are pretty much out of luck. I have scoured just about every possible way. At least with MPMP you can get a complete system up and going using the demo.

Have you tried the inverting a sphere idea before?

Download the demo. The demo has scenes and geometry all set up and you can experiment. The issue is less about the geometry it plays on and more about a player capable of very high resolution playback.

Check out this youtube video of the VR aspects of the asset.

Thanks and I do appreciate your replies, however I want to be able to code it myself as it allows for easier debugging, error correction and optimization for future version upgrades of any underlying API's etc.
So I really do need to find a solution that does not involve purchasing an asset.

I have had a look at it. Seems like I'm on the right path.
Just wish though they made the source code free for this so we can develop content faster.
Thanks once again, really appreciated your responses.
