Basic tutorials about games programming
I am creating this topic to be a reference for doubts, sugestions ...about the tutorials serie we are beginning.
Not generic basic tutorials about Unity, but about development for GearVR.
By now, we have only 3 lessons, but soon we will have many (I hope).
The address of my site (numeric URL) is:
http://208.94.246.38
The original language is portuguese, but there are a button, in the page, for Google translation. Optimized for english (ingles)
Let me know if it's been useful for you.

- TwitchmonkeyExplorerI could see these being useful for small lessons, but in my experience with text tutorials it's inevitable that you end up getting lost somewhere unless the tutorial explicitly documents with text and pictures what buttons need to be clicked and what settings need to be changed and if you do that you end up with pages and pages to explain very simple things. Personally I would recommend focusing on video content if you really want to make tutorials, even if that limits you to a Portuguese audience.
Of course, maybe I'm just slow and there are people out there that do perfectly fine with text tutorials, best of luck anyway, we need more VR-focused training available. - damascenoHonored GuestTwitchmonkey
My english is not so good to talk in videos. Sorry.
I am using MANY videos in the pages. Take a look. - damascenoHonored GuestLaunched the lesson 4 of the tutorials serie. Any doubts let me know.
I will try to launch one new lesson every 2 days.

http://208.94.246.38 - stromattackHonored GuestI have some questions if you dont mind. First are your tutorials only for phone? what if i want to make them for pc? Second do i need Unity pro???
- damascenoHonored GuestI am not using Unity PRO.
I only have a Gear VR + S6 + Samsung gamepad. I can't test the lessons in another hardware. - damascenoHonored GuestWe talk, in the lesson 7, about some special Axis used for VR. And, for fun, we will create a quadricopter that we can drive. The lesson has code and video. Enjoy.
In te next lesson, the quadricopter will be a fatal weapon LOL - damascenoHonored GuestIn the lesson 8, we will use the gamepad RTrigger to our quadricopter shoot bullets, Have fun!
