12 years agoCan't get full screen to work
I've got a development and a production machine running.
Both the same Win7Pro install (all up to date), both the same GTX780 card, both Oculus 0.4.3 version driver.
Rift driver in extended mode. The demo scene in the RiftConfigUtil works fine on both machines.
When running my scene in the Unity (4.5) editor it works fine. Full screen display.
But on the production machine (clean install) I can't get the compiled version of the scene to run full screen on the Rift. It displays in a window that is 4:3, while the Player settings say 1920x1080 (like the integration guide says).
Any ideas why this might happen? Which settings I could try to see if I can fix this problem?
Thanks!!!

- ryahataHonored GuestDid you try to run in direct to Rift Mode? Also what version of direct X are you using?
- AnonymousYes I tried the direct to rift mode. The rift stayed off (led stays yellow).
I'm running directX 11 - AnonymousFixed it.
It turned out that the problem was in the active First Person Controller.
I had a normal FPC with camera and the Rift OVR controller with the camera rig. I had the normal active and the Rift inactive. I used a settings file to see if I wanted to use the Rift and then change the active FPC.
But,
If you build the scene in Unity it picks the active FPC/Camera to determine what to do, so it generated a normal desktop version instead of the Rift version.
Now I've reversed the default (Rift on, normal desktop off) and it builds perfectly.
