Clipping issues for close-up scenes

Hi all,

I'm currently working on a project that plays with the idea of scale - the fact that having something looming over you in the rift is quite a powerful feeling is something I'd like to use. Basically the character is small and I was thinking of having a house scene to explore - being able to climb across furniture, pick up items etc, being sure to avoid things like the dog

That's all good and well, but even when I keep the OVR camera at a fixed size and scale up the scene, I am constantly getting clipping issues, especially with the near clip plane. I want to be able to create the illusion of fitting into a small space for some scenes, such as climbing inside objects, being picked up by something, etc. Is there some clever way I can do something with the camera or clipping planes to avoid this ever happening? Even with the collider size increased and near clipping plane at 0.01, when I want to get an object "right in your face", it seems a bit far away still. Having perhaps, a death animation where you get crushed by something falling or a walking character, I would ideally like the player's entire view to be filled as they get close to the object.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!
