Controller Input while user is not present
Heyho developers, I m trying to figure out how to receive controller input (buttonPressed in particular) while my HMD (Oculus) is in Idle Mode. As soon as the player takes of the HMD no further Inputs are received, but curiously enough the rotation of the controller object is always updated. Is there a way to change somewhere whether the Input (button input) is turned off or on for the controller while the HMD is in Idle/Off?
So far I was using SteamVR and VRTK in conjunction.
I would appreciate any help/suggestion you can give me. I posted a thread in the SteamVR Forums too, if there is a way via the SteamVR library.
Thanks in advance, and cheers.

- cgwillHonored GuestThanks for your response @imperativity. I have some further questions if you don t mind, but first i maybe should present the intended feature:The VR-Application is intended for an education fair. Whenever the HMD is not used there will be a video played on the Montior screen (I swap when the user is not present). The Touch-Controller is supposed to be the remote control for the videoplayer (pause, play, fast forward, ...).Could i simply cover the sensor and detect whether the HMD is moving, swap the scene and use the controller button input?
- What do you mean by covering the proximity sensor on the HMD display is not scalable?
- How long can the oculus run continously without problem? 8 hours? 10 hours? I haven t found those specifics so far.
- Is there any problems with the above mentioned "solution"?
Thank you for any help, cheers, will
