DK1 - Eyes have different vertical scale?

Using Unity version 5.2.2p2, Runtime v0.8
Intel Core i7 4790k, Nvidia GTX 970 w/ latest driver

**Using DK1. I know, it's old. But I'm a broke indie dev/student :P**

Everything else about the Unity 5 integration works perfectly. The headtracking is solid and the oculus utilities work fine. I noticed the 3D effect was straining my eyes, as if it weren't converging properly. I re-calibrated my IPD, but the issue persisted. Finally, I opened each eye individually, and noticed that the images were distorted differently.

The stereoscopic images for each eye are scaled differently, but only vertically! It's slightly off, but more than noticeable.

The test scene in the config utility displays fine, so I'm forced to assume this is Unity-specific. Anyone else notice this issue, or have any idea what might be causing it?

  • Okay, recalibrating the IPD had no effect, but starting over from a new profile seemed to resolve the issue.

Perhaps it was an issue with transitioning data from an older runtime version?
