Eventual Mac support...
I know mac support was suspended quite a while ago, with plans to get back to it eventually, and after recent comments that's probably quite some time off since "no current macs have the required hardware". However I would imagine that the mac support is built around largely the same base as the Linux support, which was implied they'd get back to shortly after launch...
Are there any more details regarding platform support beyond windows? Estimated timeframes? Anywhere we can offer to test? I for example have a mac that does meet the specs (mac pro with some upgrades), and would love to do my development on the mac side if at all possible, so I'm rather motivated to help see that Mac support happens sooner rather than later if at al possible.

- vrdavebOculus StaffThe consumer Rift will not work with OSX or Linux for the foreseeable future. However, DK2 still works with OSX to some extent if you use SDK 0.5.0.1. Unity still attempts to support it if you enable "Virtual Reality Supported" and build for OSX. See https://developer.oculus.com/downloads/ ... _for_OS_X/ and https://developer.oculus.com/downloads/ ... _for_OS_X/. We have kept this code path (somewhat) functional to unblock Gear VR developers, who often work on OSX and want to preview with DK2.
- ima747ExplorerThanks. I haven't gotten the built in VR to work on Mac so I've been sticking with the older manually included tools. Good enough for a little prototyping. I fully understand not focusing on it, but when it comes time to put a few more resources back in that direction I'd love to help push it forward if possible.
And thank you guys for being so active in providing feedback on all levels. Getting a response on something this low priority and comparatively obscure in the middle of everything else is pretty damn fantastic.
