Facebook, Rift, and Unity Webplayer...monetize? Not Yet!

So I thought i'd hit on a brilliant way to create content for the Oculus Rift and at some point monetize it via Facebook's Payment platform.

I mean, isn't that why Facebook bought Oculus? So developers would use the FB platform to build Oculus Rift content playable via Facebook Canvas?

Turns out, the Unity webplayer crashes miserably on builds that contain Oculus Rift support.
A little digging in the threads here turned up this:

Cybereality says it can't happen; quote:

the web player won't work, since you can't load DLLs over the web.

a another thread offers a clue: viewtopic.php?f=37&t=6644

but I'm no programmer, so can't figure out what's to be done there.

Bottom line: Oculus Rift should figure out how to get the Unity webplayer to work in Facebook Canvas as top priority if the whole Oculus Rift - Facebook Canvas / Payment gateway is to make sense (money?)

Has this been addressed or in the works?
