GearVR Dual Mode

Hi, Is it possible to build a dual-mode application that launches into a 2D app initially before later switching to VR mode? I thought it might be possible using multiple activities. I've tried ...

Unfortunately dual mode is not really working right now, so you'll probably have to have 2 apps or find some other work-around.
