Having trouble with a step in the integration guide

Morning, all,

I'm having trouble understanding how to do the following step from the Oculus/Unity integration guide:

Move the Game view from the editor and drag onto the Rift display. Click the maximize button on the top right of the game window (to the left of the X button) to switch to fullscreen. This
will let you play the game in fullscreen, while still allowing you to keep the Unity editor open on
another monitor. It is recommended that you also automatically hide the taskbar, which is located
in the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties - Taskbar

I've been using Oculus demos in direct mode. Most of the time my Oculus isn't displaying anything, and it's certainly not part of my desktop that I could 'drag' it onto. Clearly, though, it would be nice to be able to click play in Unity and have the 'Game' window pop over to the Oculus. Or even better, render in both the Unity Game window and the Oculus. I'm not sure how you're supposed to configure any of this, or even if you can, currently. Any thoughts?

Ah, I think I found part of the answer on here.

To sum up, it looks like there isn't (currently) any way to have play render the game directly to the rift. Looks like I will need to figure out how to use the Rift in Extended mode so that I can just drag the window over there. I'll go looking around, but if anyone happens to know of a good guide for this, I'd be grateful.
  • Yes, those steps assume you are in Extended Mode.

Otherwise, you can build the project and click on the DirectToRift.exe.
