Is it better to leave your RIft out instead of putting it in the box everytime?

I'm saying this because soon i will be getting Leap motion for the rift and from what it shows you add another cable around the oculus cable. it'd be a hassle to have to put everything back in their boxes especially if you're gonna develop everyday.
