Lens Distortion Doesn't Work
My Rift is on it's way, so I'm practicing with the Unity pack in Unity 4 Pro. I can't see it distorting the two lenses, with the black around the edges. They just show up as normal, filling the screen and there's no apparent curving of straight geometry.
This is after importing either the small pack or the Tuscany one. And using either the OVRCamera or OVRPlayer controller prefabs. And when running the Tuscany demo it doesn't do it then either.
Is it a requirement to actually have an Oculus Rift plugged in before this render effect works, that seems odd. If so, that's fine, I don't need to see the effect to practice, I just want to know that I'm not doing something wrong.

The reason is that parameters (...which are specific to the optical setup of the unit) for the distortion algorithm, are read from the device.
