Looking around makes the lights turn off and on???

I am suddenly getting these sorts of lighting issues in the attached video in 2021.2.2f1 whereas I was not getting at all on 2021.1.17f1. These characters have a real time light on them which is not turning off, and even some baked objects have the same issue both in the scene view, game view and in the Quest. I have not adjusted any lighting settings from the previous Unity version where I did not have this issue. I am on URP 12.1.1 with Vulkan. Anyone have some insights as to what is going on? I tried raising the number of per pixel object limit to no avail. Is this a bug?

  • I went back to 2021.1.17f1 as there was just too many issue with all the 2021.2.x releases which is really too bad as they editor is much faster. If Unity is reading this, please inspect your QA processes as they are allowing some pretty obvious bugs to slip through like this one which after I reported in 2021.2.1f1 was not fixed in 2021.2.2f1. https://developer.oculus.com/downloads/package/unity-integration/34.0/ and lighting issues with both realtime and baked lights like the attached video (https://drive.google.com/file/d/12jOFXI9XapfDOS6pHrSY9kNWyzotdyWF/view?usp=sharing).  Super disapointed and concerned that Unity is focused elsewhere.

  • The light issues are even bigger than just the above as it looks like any object with more than 1 real time light on it, only one of the lights actually works.  If you turn off the one that does work, the other one will start working.  This was not the case in 2021.1.17f1 where the same object can have both realtime lights working at the same time no problem.

  • Hey,
Thank you for the tip - I have been pondering at this for days with no luck. And sure enough, switching to 2021.1.17f did the trick.
Do you know if they ever solved it? Or did you end up sticking with 2021.1.17f?
