[META QUEST 3] Bypass the "you've moved too far" popup
Hello, I'm currently working on a unity app for the meta quest 3 using spatial anchors in mixed reality with passthrough. I use them on a large zone, however I can't reach them without having th...

I don't think this disables the 'you moved too far' message unfortunately. I'm using this manifest flag in my own app and I still receive the message when moving more than a couple rooms from my origin (spot where I launched the app)

Yeah, I just tested it after changing from com.oculus.feature.CONTEXTUAL_BOUNDARYLESS_APP to com.oculus.feature.BOUNDARYLESS_APP. The message still pops up when I move far enough from my starting position. 😞

Do you have any boundary data set on the headset?
I wonder if there's no boundary data -completely empty, and you have boundary disabled as well. Then run the app would it still give that error?- childlifetech.dev1 year agoProtege
The only way I've found to get rid of the pop-up is to go into developer settings and toggle off "Physical space features". This works fine if you toggle it off right before you start the application, but if it's been off for a while and you try using it in different locations, the floor position gets wonky. So I have to tell clinicians to turn this setting on, set a boundary, then turn it off right before starting the application. This solution allows it to be usable and we'll do this for the study, but these extra annoying steps reduce the likelihood of it being used after the study, so I'm hoping to find a better solution.

I just ran around my backyard with my headset on in passthrough with boundary data cleared and boundary off (with physical space features toggled on), no apps running, and still got this pop-up. However, if I re-center every few meters while walking with these same settings, I don't get the pop-up. It seems Meta doesn't allow you to trigger a re-center from within an app, though.
