OVRScreenshotWizard
I'm trying to use the new OVRScreenshotWizard tool to create a 3d photo of my app. I'm able to use the tool, but it's producing images that are mirrors of what I would expect when loaded up into a 360 photo application to preview. It's as if the orientation of my render from object or camera is being ignored. Am I just being a noob here and this is expected behavior which is handled more appropriately from within the oculus storefront?

- cyberealityGrand ChampionI assume you have already read the docs page.
https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/game-engines/latest/concepts/unity-cubemap/
Also, what 360 photo app are you using? It's possible the cubemap format they use is different than the one Oculus is using. - delphinius81Rising StarYeah, read through the docs already and followed the directions. I guess I should rephrase slightly. The generated images look correct, the mirroring happens when I loaded the generated image into the Oculus 360 photo app.
- JianZExpert Protegehey, delphinius81. mirror problem: can you upload your 3d photo? wonder what it looks like, what 360 photo app you are using?) camera orientation: yes, the camera orientation will be ignored, the capture result is always world-aligned.
- delphinius81Rising StarI used the Oculus 360 Photos app to display the image.
- JianZExpert ProtegeJust checked your capture in oculus 360 photo, looks good to me. I saw the lamp at the left side of the flat TV. for mirroring, do you mean the lamp should be at the right side of the TV?
- delphinius81Rising StarYeah. The lamp should be to the right of the TV as seen when facing the TV. It's positioned correctly in the photo itself, but when loaded into the photo app it gets flipped.
- JianZExpert ProtegeInvestigating
- JianZExpert ProtegeConfirmed the Oculus 360 photo is playing back the cubemap a different way, so your capture should be good for Home preview. For verification, you can apply your generated cubemap texture onto unity scene's skybox, you should be able to see the skybox is aligned with your scene.
Thanks for reporting problems.
